Well, there has been another discovery of a naughty teacher, one of our favorite subjects here at the old newsroom. This week, Kimberly Dawn Bynum has her moment in the spotlight. The 29-year-old math teacher at Vina High School was jailed Thursday after she allegedly began a sexual relationship with a student. Apparently, she never learned that patience is a virtue, as the student would have been legal if she had waited just a little while longer.
According to police, Bynum reportedly became friends with the 12th grade and, towards the end of the school year, the relationship became sexual.
The student soon left the books behind, but not the sexual urges. Investigators say Bynum and the student continued the relationship even after the school year had ended.
On the school’s website, Bynum’s Bio includes the following:
“I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama where I graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education from the University of Alabama. I am married to Nathan Garner, band director at Hamilton High School. We reside in Hamilton with our children, Ladybird (chocolate lab) and Bandit (ninja cat).”
Bynum’s booking report was labeled with a charge of school employee engaging in deviant sexual intercourse with a student under the age of 19. Her bond has been set at $10,000.
And finally, where the hell were all the hot teachers when Mr. Sinister was in school? And I am curious about her “ninja cat.”
